Dark, But minimally dangerous
Sometimes you manically get a neck tattoo…
I’m Jamie. I love coffee, edgy marketing, family, and robot music. I’m shy, moody, and most people would call me weird. I will forever be a starving artist with a strong desire to help others reach their goals. An associate degree in business management, a natural creative gift, and my unmatched work ethic landed me my dream job as a Senior Marketing Specialist for a local supplement company which I led to many sales victories. Unfortunately, that supplement company closed it’s doors due to complications, leaving a lot of us back at square one. Since then, in order to make ends meet, I was swallowed back into the life of warehousing where nobody takes your skills seriously. Though it’s not easy trying to get back into the world of a busy career woman, I have made some other much needed changes to my life.

Life Happens…
Getting Sober should count as job experience
I have spent the last five interesting years getting sober from alcohol, discovering who I really am, and overcoming the struggles of mental health. I’m married to my best friend, found a new love for festivals and baked goods, and spent some time smelling the flowers. With a new chance at life, I’m now taking steps to get myself back into the world of helping small businesses and individuals make their mark in the world through creative outlets.
Sober me = Anxious me
It’s much harder for me to approach any part of this world without my favorite crutch. I’m not very gifted socially and I struggle a bit with confidence. On top of my insecurities, real-life experience that makes me the badass, creative, and strong individual I am today is not really accepted by the corporate world in resume format. So I’m going about this a little differently…
Technology = Kyryptonite
Building a portfolio gave me an idea
I blew the dust off of my brain and started making pretty things again. I found out a few things in the process.. Programs like Canva and WordPress have really made it easy for DIYers to introduce themselves to the digital world, but some of us cringe at the thought of a computer. My mother, for example, sews and embroiders beautiful things, hosts THE BEST Rudolph party, and is the hardest working woman on the planet. Her kryptonite, technology. My mom is very much a woman of patience unless you are a computer or smart phone. This makes it difficult for her to have a voice when consumers depend so heavily on technology. I don’t think an artist’s digital voice deserves to be stifled because they can’t afford a monthly marketing budget and/or would rather throw their computer out of a window. There are others out there just like mom looking for other real people to guide them into the digital galaxy… patiently. So I called upon some aliens.
